Master Recoil
The Align Tactical® THUMB REST TRIGGER PIN integrates an ergonomic ledge for the support hand's thumb to firmly lock down against, serving as a brake against muzzle flip to provide the fastest follow-up sight picture. Increased surface contact with the pistol reduces support hand slippage while providing an index point for a consistent high thumbs-forward grip. Swaps in seconds to offer maximum control and speed in Glock® and select Glock-compatible pistols for a competitive edge.
Secure Design
The Thumb Rest Trigger Pin utilizes a patent-pending forked design that leverages the disassembly channel's (opening) as an insertion point for accepting an anti-rotation stop. Pushing the trigger pin partially out (of an UNLOADED PISTOL), allows the anti-rotation stop to clear the disassembly channel so the slide lock can be pulled down for normal disassembly.
Retained in Place
Glock Trigger Pins incorporate grooves that are retained by the slide stop under spring tension. Two shallow grooves are engaged by GEN 5 ambidextrous slide stops vs. a single deep groove for legacy generations that utilize a (second) dedicated locking block pin to dissipate force.
Lift to Disengage
For easier pin removal, lift the slide stop to help center it to the pin grooves. Push the Trigger Pin out with a punch or use the Thumb Rest Trigger Pin itself to swap. NOTE: Initial removal may require a bit of pressure.
Rotate to Clear
For pistol disassembly, partially back out the Thumb Rest Trigger Pin, allowing the anti-rotation stop to clear the frame's slide lock channel and then rotate it clear. Re-install on a fully assembled pistol (AFTER slide is attached), to lock in place.
Compatibility
We've enhanced the line to reflect the following dedicated products. There are two features that determine compatibility, with the first being the aforementioned Trigger Pin Groove (DEPTH), and the second being the (DISTANCE) between the trigger pin to the slide lock disassembly channel.
Legacy GEN 1-4 COMPACT models & Current GEN 5 (including all models that utilize an ambidextrous slide stop) share the "SHORT" distance, while differing in groove depth.
Legacy GEN 1-4 STANDARD & COMPETITION models uniquely use the "LONG" distance.

Compatible Holster Manufacturers
*These manufacturers have tested and validated compatibility with Align Tactical performance components for select holsters in their existing product line. Safariland 63XX series Duty LIGHT-BEARING models (6390 and 6354) validated for smooth operation. Orpaz T40X (Large Light) is adjustable for perfect fit with tested X300 (expanded with light spacer installed as to create channel) and T41 non-light bearing model.
**Align Tactical Signature Series holsters are available above from Black Scorpion Gear and Precision Holsters. Fits existing OWB offerings from Red Hill Tactical and Priority1 (Modular OWB and Joe Farewell Signature Series), GX Products Holster revisions made after August 1st, 2023.
Fits existing IWB holsters with the Raven Concealment Systems Vanguard 2 trigger guard, Crossbreed SuperTuck and leather-backed options, Tenicor SAGAX LUX2 has a built in wedge that accommodates the rest with smooth draw but requires an angled insertion (recommend holstering before wearing), CENTURION fit though draw has slight contact upon clearing. Custom holsters from Lytton Custom Holsters and Custom Holster Solutions. Build selection menu options from TACRIG, American Concealment Solutions, SOUSA Tactical, and Grey Man Solutions for all their holsters (except Mini).
Werkz "Outlier" model provides a single holster that is compatible with all current and future Align Tactical Thumb Rests, across all pistol manufacturers we offer.
